Touch for Health® – An Introduction

I can just about guarantee that someone who just read the title “Touch for Health” has raised their eyebrows in skepticism. Perhaps they are even scoffing “what does touch have to do with health?” or “what type of new age propaganda is that?” That’s why the Maryland Kinesiology and Wellness Institute is informing people about the different types of modalities that are part of Energy Kinesiology.

What is Touch for Health?

Touch for Health® is a system of balancing energy in the body by determining whether your meridians (energy pathways) are under-energized or over-energized causing blocks in the energy flow which can manifest as pain and illness.

The techniques used can increase energy and resistance to illness, reduce pain, tension, depression, anxiety, and stress, improve posture, flexibility, and balance, uncover hidden causes of many health problems, prevent future health problems, determine which foods are undermining your energy, and improve left brain/right brain integration and enhance mental functioning.

Still wondering how “real” Touch for Health is?

Touch for Health offers continuing education credits for nationally certified Massage Therapists, RN’s, and LPN’s. Moreover, Touch for Health courses are required core classes needed for certification as an Energy Kinesiologist.

TFH is one modality that can truly benefit patients of Western Medicine as well as help to balance ‘healthy’ individuals who look to Eastern Techniques for prevention.
