As an adjunct to their commitment to wellness, the KareDan Farming Initiative is a small goat, alpaca, sheep and chicken farm which Karen Beleck and Danielle Feddersen have started. Their goal is to provide fresh, organic products made with love that will nourish the body as well as the spirit. |
KareDan Welcomes Ducklings

About KareDan Farm
| |
Why we started
KareDan Farming Initiative was started in an effort to get back to a more natural way of life. We wanted not only to bring ourselves back to nature, but to help other people to come back to nature as well. |
 |
| |
 |
What we do
KareDan own alpacas, sheep, goats,
and chickens; as well as a large vegetable garden. Our latest
additions are a mix of ducklings born New Years 2010! We care
for and work with all of the animals and their contributions
to our program. The alpacas give fiber, the sheep give fiber
and meat, the goats give milk, and the chickens give eggs. We
have done considerable research into natural and old-world ways
to store and preserve natural and healthy foods, without any
unnecessary and unhealthful chemicals, and put this research
to practice in our own home. |
| |
Goals
Self-sustainability, community, peace, local agriculture, and eco-friendliness are our goals in everything we do.
